Ol Donyo Lo Sirua is located in Saikeri, Kajiado County, and is 27 km / 45 minutes past Ngong Town. The last rains affected some sections of the 11 km murram road, and it’s a bit bumpy now. We advise that you visit with a slightly raised car if possible. A low profile car will still get you there though, taratibu.
Experience the joy of minimalist living in our beautiful cabins. These cozy spaces, hidden in Maasai land, give you a variety of tastes. Each cabin is a haven where you can unwind, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy time with those that matter.
Enjoy the Poet’s Retreat, the 3-storey 20ft container with an amazing breeze and spectacular telescopic views. Look out for the poem written on the side of the container – it tells a story!
Indulge in the Quiet Lair wood cabin, surrounded by silence and birds. This 1 bedroom unit is minimalist yet spacious. Be sure to sneak in a sunrise view of Ngong Hills on the rocking chairs outside – it’s really special.
Get cozy in the Rustic Monk – the tiny minimalist unit right next to the kitchen garden. Would you like to try prepping meals in an outdoor kitchen right by the bush? Then, this is your space!

When Booking Dates:
There are three units at Ol Donyo Lo Sirua, at the following rates:
Poet’s retreat: KES 8,000 per night
Quiet lair: KES 8,000 per night
Rustic Monk: KES 5,000 per night
Check-in is at 4:00 pm, and Check-out is at 11:00 am. We do offer early check-in for an additional KES 1,500 if you are interested (you can select at checkout – based on availability). This allows you to check in at least 2 hours early.
While staying at our cabins, there are short trails to hike, a gym, mountain bikes, a common area with sub-soccer, archery, darts, picnic tables and a grill as well as a fire pit. In addition, there are plenty of books and board games to try out! The cabins also have varying experiences such as hammocks and night telescope at the Poet’s Retreat.
The library contains books across a wide range of topics for you to explore. There are several outdoor games / activities, including SubSoccer, Archery, and Darts. Feel free to explore our collection of board games – you will definitely find something that tickles your fancy!
Note: when you hear a knock on your window, it’s likely one of our many bird neighbours
The stay is self-contained, and all units are equipped with a gas cooker. If you so wish, an on-call chef will be made available with advance notice (minimum rate of KES 3,000 a day for 2 pax). The location is in the bush, hence it is preferred that you purchase your favorite ingredients in Ngong / Nairobi in advance – in liaison with the chef. The chef menu is accessible here, and you can also make special requests / discuss with the chef in advance:

Our cabins were designed to be enjoyed comfortably all year round. We have fireplaces in the wood cabins, and briquette heating for the container deck. Be sure to carry something warm for evenings.
